The Clubhouse, which is attached to the main hotel building, boasts numerous facilities including a proshop, baggage storage area, comfortable ladies and gents locker rooms with shower areas and the Summit Bar & Restaurant which has panoramic views over the golf course. Buggy hire and Taylormade club hire are available.

As with all top golf resorts, the Slieve Russell has extensive practice facilities including a putting green, driving range and practice green. The resident PGA golf professionals are available for tuition including the latest swing analysis and teaching technologies.

The resort also has an excellent 9 Hole academy golf course which is perfect for beginners or for golfers wishing to sharpen their short game.

The Course
Forming part of a magnificent 300-acre estate, including 50 acres of lakes, our highly acclaimed 18-hole championship course is sensitively wrapped around the lakes and the drumlins of the County Cavan landscape. The course presents a wonderful challenge and the devilishly tricky greens present a searching examination of accurate approach play, which adds to the enjoyment factor. With a variety of tee options on each hole, the golf course is a suitable challenge for golfers of all abilities

Whilst every hole on the golf course is a challenge, the par 5 13th is the signature hole on the golf course with its fairway hugging the shores of one of the course's natural lakes offering a risk/reward opportunity on every shot.

Not surprisingly the complex has always proved very popular with visiting golf groups from all over Ireland, the UK and Europe and many return on a regular basis to sample our renowned hospitality.

The Slieve Russell has hosted some major European Challenge Tour and Irish PGA Tournaments. These include, the Buzz.com North West of Ireland Open, the Irish PGA Championship and also the Quinn Insurance PGA Charity Pro-Am, which has been held since 1997 and has now become an annual event boasts the highest prize fund for Irish PGA Professionals.

Accommodation
The Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club has 222 luxury bedrooms, including 19 Suites and 2 Presidential Suites, all of which are impeccably furnished and designed to incorporate every comfort and to ensure a feeling of relaxed elegance, perfect for business or pleasure. Attention to detail is key and all rooms have TV with digital in-room entertainment and Internet access.

A variety of room types are available in the Slieve Russell, from the comfort of a standard room to the luxurious surroundings of the presidential suite.

Many of the rooms have wonderful views over the golf course and the landscaped gardens, while some corner rooms have balconies – the ideal spot for breakfast or that pre-dinner drink.

Getting there
The Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club is located in the Northwest region of Ireland and can easily be accessed from all airports and ferry points. Driving time from both Dublin International Airport and Belfast International Airport is approximately two hours.

From Dublin:  Follow the M3 Motorway, leading to the N3 through Virginia and towards Cavan. At the roundabout just outside Cavan town, take the N3 signposted for Enniskillen and at the roundabout after Belturbet take the first exit (N87) for Ballyconnell town. The Slieve Russell Hotel is situated approximately 5 miles from Belturbet on the left hand side (before you reach the town of Ballyconnell).

From Belfast: Follow the M1, leading to the A4, through Fivemiletown, Maguiresbridge, Lisnaskea, Derrylin and Ballyconnell. In Ballyconnell, take the to your left at the end of the main street (signposted for Cavan). The Slieve Russell Hotel is situated 1 mile past Ballyconnell on the right hand side.

From Galway: Take the N6 to Athlone, turn left onto N55 - take N55 through Ballymahon, Edgeworthstown, and Granard to Cavan. At the roundabout at Cavan town, take the N3 to Enniskillen and at the roundabout after Belturbet take the left (N87) for Ballyconnell town. The Slieve Russell Hotel is situated approximately 5 miles from Belturbet on the left hand side
