The Beginning
At William’s home club he played with a young trainee club professional, Dave Nuvelle, who managed to reach the 8th on 6 under. It was a performance that prompted the question “why aren’t you out on Tour?” the response stopped him in his tracks “I don't have that kind of money” that moment was the beginning of the William Hunt Trilby Tour.
William Hunt is a man that is continually answering his phone to talented aspiring professionals, like Dave, looking for sponsorship and an opportunity, but he had no way of separating the winners from the rest. The William Hunt Trilby Tour was created to give those professionals a chance to win the funding needed to make the step up onto the European Tour.
