I recommend...Four Iron in the Soul by Lawrence Donegan chosen by TT member D. Parker What's it about It's hugely entertaining and a wonderful insight into the caddy/player relationship and trials and tribulations of players and caddies who at the time were second citizens on the European Tour. Excerpt passage "The difference (between being a bag carrier and a caddy) is that a bag carrier requires significantly little skills beyond that of being able to walk with a golf bag on his shoulder. But to be a caddy, especially a Tour caddy, requires special talents: the golfing brain of Jack Nicklaus, a thick skin, the psychological sophistication of a £500-an-hour shrink, low cunning, the motivational powers of a five-star general , a robust constitution, strong legs, the organisational skills of a Psion 3a, loyalty, guile ... the list is endless. Just ask a Tour caddy." I give it 10/10 - I have read it several times and still don't get tired of it! It's a must read for all golfing nuts who would love to be involved in some way with professional tour golf!
