My TT Story – Siberian Husky Champ takes on the TTName: Lee HodgsonAge: 39 Regional Championship entered: Old Thorns Handicap: 17 Golf Club: Newport, Isle of Wight Caddy: Paul Arnold Occupation: Business owner of Isle of Wight Pet Supplies Motto: I have a tattoo on my chest after a successful operation to remove some tumours. It says Vita quoquo brevis, Ago pro momen, Carpe Diem which is Latin for 'Life is too short, live for the moment and seize the day ' It's about finding that buzz I served in the Royal Navy for 16 years as a Senior Aircraft Engineer but unfortunately had to leave due to significant injuries (including a broken back) sustained whilst competing for the Fleet Air arm in the Royal Navies Field Gun Competition at the Royal Tournament.
I competed five times over eight years - I still train to this day but have had to change what I do to accommodate the injuries. My days racing Siberian Huskies and beating the world champion The day I turned to golf The synergy between personal development and competition is second to none. I am currently playing off 17 but my aim is to be 14 by the end of the summer and 5 within 3 years.
