Congratulations on your win as the TT Norfolk Champion! You have managed to defend your title, How does it feel?
Good! I enjoyed it, it was a good day! The result was a bonus and can't complain at all!

What made you enter the TT?
My main objective this year was just to qualify for the final and if I managed to defend my title well that would be a bonus. I just wanted to come in the top 10 on the day.

Tell us about your day. How did you feel you played?
I played quite well actually. I was pleased with my game. I had been playing quite well up to the Marriott so I was looking forward to the day. My play had been good, my putting was good, the only thing I was worried about was my driver, that has been my weakness recently. I knew that if I could get it to work off the tee I'll have a good day, luckily on the day my driver worked, well behaved it's self anyway. The rest just fell into place.

Have you played in many other Amateur championships?
I have played in a couple of singles and doubles, some which I am currently playing at the moment.

How did you cope with the cameras on the day?
I didn't mind them much this year, obviously I played with them last year so it was a similar sort of thing. I think playing in the playoff last year did help. The main thing is to go out there and just enjoy yourself. If you go out and start getting nervous your game will fall apart.

Where is your trophy now?
At home, on the mantel piece.

Did you ever think you would get this far?
As I say, I knew that if I could hit my driver well on the day I was relatively confident that I would do well. The trouble is when you do get into a playoff you just never know...everyone has played well to get there so everyone stands an equal chance. Just because you played well for 18 holes does not mean you are going to play well for the next 3. Each hole is different, you just have to manage to keep it together.

What are your thoughts on the final?
I'm just glad I qualified on the day, I want another chance at the final. Last year I was a bit disappointed with my round so I wanted to go back and play some better golf.

What would winning the TT Championship mean to you?
It would be a great achievement and a great experience. I try not to think about it until it actually happens. If you spend too much time thinking about what you will do if you win, you tend to lose sight of what you need to do to win.

Tell me about your background.
I started playing golf when was about 16. Generally I only tend to play in the summer, although this last season I have played a bit in the winter. If I'm being honest I'm a bit of a fair-weather golfer. It does help to keep swinging through the winter, just to keep your game.

How did you find the clothing?
Yes it is always good! Great gear!

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
It would have to be marrying my wife!

Describe yourself in a sentence.
I usually let other people tell me...I'm not too good with this stuff. I would say that I am confident in sport, defiantly, as I am confident in my own ability in what I can do.

Who is your golf hero?
It would be Faldo he's the main guy who I remember from when I was younger.

Last words for William Hunt?
Great comp! Make sure you run it next year and keep it growing! It's getting better and better each year, he's making changes and listening to what people are saying, always trying to make it better.
