Congratulations David! It was a close one - how does it feel to be the Oxfordshire Champion?
It's unbelievable - I'm in a state of shock! My shield is sitting on the shelf next to my daughter's riding trophies. It's my biggest and most exciting win so far!

Trilby Tour W Mids Champion 2010: David Just

First time in the Trilby Tour?
It's actually my second time in the Trilby Tour - I played last year at the London Club and thought it was fantastic. I entered again this year but this time aiming to qualify.

How do you feel you played on the day?
I felt I played well but it was my putting which kept me in the game. My aim was to try and qualify - I never even thought about winning. Being in contention was really exciting - I'm generally a calm and easy going guy but the cameras were all over the place at the play-off and that made me a little nervous.

What are your thoughts on heading to the final?
It's gong be really tough but I'm really looking forward to it. Winning the Trilby Tour Championship would be absolutely fantastic. I can't even think about it - it would be the icing on the cake. I won't worry about that until i come to the last three holes but to win would be unbelievable. I've recently changed the clubs I use so now my dilemma is whether to stick with my old ones or use the new ones.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
My family and my two wonderful daughters.

Champion David Just and William Hunt

I always try to do everything to the best of my ability and enjoy life as much as i can.

What's your motto in life?
I always try to do everything to the best of my ability and enjoy life as much as i can.

Who's your golf hero?
Jack Nicklaus. For me he was the greatest player of all time - his ability and the way he conducted himself is a lesson to all golfers of any standard.

Winning the Amateur title would be absolutely fantastic. I can't even think about it - it would be the icing on the cake.
