  • Had a mega time, and becoming only the 4th Person on TT to bag a hole in one (17th) is something im very proud of. However the rest of the round will be pretty easy to forget due to the final score :-D

  • Just back on the Emerald Isle after a fantastic TT experience at the KP Club. I cant offer enough thanks to the TT staff and the staff of the KP Club for everything they did for my Caddy (my Dad) and myself to make it a day that will be remembered forever. A special thanks to Mr. Hunt; a man I wont forget easily and whom I am looking forward to meeting again on the 16 Aug.

  • Yet again another fantastic day put on by Will, Mark, Jenna and the rest of the TT Team, Aaron, Ash, Adam and the KP Team and all the players, caddies & spectators.
Still warm when it was raining and gorgeous when the sun came out. Fantastic atmosphere and well chuffed I get to go to Stoke Park.
Is it possible for the TT to get any better? Not from what I've seen.
Keep it going Will, stirling job you're doing fella.

  • Back from what can be described as a brilliant day never have I struggled to put a ball on a tee peg like I did on the first today thanks to William and all your team for a fantastic day this was my first time and not my last playing in the trilby hopefully next time I will bring my putter

  • Just got back from my virgin trilby tour ride. Wow all the build up running up was nothing compared to the day. What an experience. Putted like I had a blindfold on but pins were tricky. Loved it and thanks for the interview William. Nerves were shot after that but managed to get a good drive away. Thanks all again and see you next year. Thanks to my playing partners had a good friendly knock.

  • Just Back from my 2nd tt event. Kp club can be proud of what they have achieved, super course with superb facilities. Weather today was horrendous at the best of times but William and his team shone through to put on a great event, massive credit to will and his team. You guys are what make the tt the prestigious event it is. Didn't quite do it today but I did have fun trying. Putter must have been in the fridge last night it was that cold. Looking forward to 2013 already. Well done again to the tt team! Now what time is my ferry ?

  • Went for a practice round last Thursday and although course wasnt shut it was a monsoon outside!! The guys in the pro shop were great lads and are literally looking forward to it as much as me! Decided to walk a few holes instead of getting sodden - lets hope its good weather for the day!
Hope to see you all soon!!

  • To all fellow Trilby Tourians,

Good luck to everyone on Thursday, qualify or not, just enjoy the experience.Once you drive through the entrance, the fun begins, this will be my 3rd time,19 & 25 points respectively, but one day maybe my golf will all come together on the day.Clothes and clubs have been checked and double checked, still with 2 days to go,another few thousand checks will undoubtably take place.Practice round scuppered as called up to Newcastle for ameeting on the Wednesday, might be a good thing as alawys play well on the practice round...so just maybe try and treat the actual day like a practice round....who am i kidding,no chuffing cameras, crowds,or William Hunts about the practice round is there?
The course will as ever be in great condition for the day,no one can forsee the weather so no stupid comments about wet course, ball being plugged etc etc, just get on with it and enjoy.
So once again good luck to you all,and most of all enjoy this remarkable experience.

  • Does anyone now if all the snow is clear now at kp cheers in advance im itching to go have a round there
    groups.wall 465 days ago
  • Just a little note to all the KP Trilby Guys. While the course is coming on fantastically, because we're on the Yorkshire Wolds, we tend to suffer quite badly when snow falls. At present it's still a fair few inches thick up there and isn't the easiest place to get to when the roads are icy.
Practice rounds I'd try to leave until the very end of February at the earliest as I would think we'll still be on temps until at least then.
If anyone wants any updates as to what's happening up there with comps, tee availability and the weather, either drop me a line on here or give the club a quick call. All the guys there are spot on and will tell you straight how it is.
    Happy golfing!!

  • Hi all. I'm more than happy to join up with folks and show them round. I could even be helpful and show all the "right" places to go (insert comment here JG)!!
Am there just about every single weekend unless I'm playing away so can easily let people know about what club comps are on and what available tee times there are.
    groups.wall 477 days ago
  • Might be good to get a few of us together and make a day of it perhaps?? Don't mind being the "organiser"

  • FIRST YEAR IN AND AM SOOO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!!!
LOOKS QUITE AN OPEN COURSE SO SHOULD BE GOOD (DONT SHOOT ME DOWN IF I AM WRONG)
IS THERE A COMPLIMENTARY PRACTICE ROUND AVAILABLE ? DOES ANYONE KNOW?
    groups.wall 478 days ago
  • If we have half as good a day as last year then the KP Club will do the TT proud. If anyone fancies a practice round let me know.

Hope they bring more Gentleman Jacks this year ;-)
    groups.wall 479 days ago
  • Well guys, the TT is coming back to the glorious KP Club for a 3rd year. Call me biased, but the KP Club is just going from strength to strength year on year.
There'll be quite a few changes to it from those who played last year with a number of new tees and bunkers being added. They're also moving a few trees about, taking some out and adding some in.
Combine all this with the atmosphere in the grand Glasshouse and I'm sure everyone who's new and everyone who's played before, will have a cracking time.
Lets just hope we get the weather we had last year and I look forward to seeing you all there.
    Have fun.
