Hi Paul we lost 2-1 we played two lads from Kirby one off 11 and the other of 14 Moggy and I shot leval par and the three shots I got I par birdied them so we shot net 67. They were a nice pair of chaps very good of there handicaps and will take some beating I forgot to mention we were at home as well. Good luck in the next round and for the rest of the season.

Hi Ian, you'd be very well treated north of the border!! and it would be an absolute pleasure to do battle again. Hope to see you in the finals. although with the bandit Muldoon playing at Worsley it looks like a place less in the qualifying section already!! If the TT is tied up to Marriott for the foreseeable future then it must come to Dalmahoy, near Edinburgh. Held the original Solhiem Cup and a superb course. Way better than Worsley Park. It'll give the Scots a bit less travelling to do!!!

Hi everyone, this is my first time playing the trilby this year. Any tips from anyone would be much appreciated. I played a practice round 4 weeks ago and the course and greens were in poor condition and by the sounds of it there has been no change. I was looking to play a second practice round this week but I might wait until as close as possible to the 5th June. Would anyone like to join me ?

well i got to say very distraught over the state of worsley park 2 weeks to the start of the tour and what an awful state the course is in espcially the greens there is no chance they are gonna be in good shape for the tour hope you havent made a mistake william in getting in to bed with marriotts wish i had gone back to trevose to pay cos even on a bad day trevose would be better

Dear William - please can you make the shirts longer in the body for us bigdogs ? I can hardly tuck mine in my trousers - the missus says lose weight but I just love my food and beer is a must - us "ordinary guys" doing "extraordinary things" does come with the cost of "extraordinary bodies"!!! Fatboy sizes are a must........how do you get into yours?!!!

Some good points there Gareth but too many assumptions.....simple answers for me are - yes, they do make holing more putts easier - that's why they are being used more and more, when a 14 year old amateur makes the cut at Augusta and is using one it rather implies that his coach is telling him so......and when Mr Els wins an open outta the blue when he has confessed to putting being his problem???

Won 5&4 in the pairs yesterday. Blady and I were 11 under nett. 71 gross on my own ball.
Played Worsley Park in a practice round 3rd May, nice course but poor condition.Greens hollow tined, bunkers never raked and divots everywhere!! Lots of work to do in a month for the greenkeepers to get it ready for the TT visit.

Had an issue on the rules yesterday - playing matchplay and opponent was putting thru the fringe - brushed away loose impediments in the line of his intended putt.......the question is did his hand "press down" on the grass? If so was this a penalty???? I said I thought it was but how does one define "pressing down" - any help out there???

Won my first round Matchplay against Peter Gabriel ,tough conditions with the wind and rain,and both our game suffer"d a bit. Peter was great company and a really good golfer. Can't wait for next round,hopefully weather will be better :-)

Just got back from hollins hall today you must if you have not played it go just to plan your way round gents a lot of hidden hills which you don't see until you get to them most holes don't need driver as you will end up in trouble and if you are thinking of going wait a week or 2 because the greens are very poor I just hope that they get chance to sort them out but with only a month or so to go

Just played my second practice round at Worsley Park on Tuesday. Weather was fantastic just hope it's like that on the day. Have to say I was dissapointed with the state of the course as it was in awful shape. Couldnt really get an idea of how the greens are running as they had been hollow tined and were very bare in places. Just hope its right for June 5th.
