About the Trilby Tour

The UK's best amateur tournament (your words not ours)

The Trilby Tour has in the space of three years risen to be the best amateur golf tournament in the UK and its phenomenal success has seen 2010 sell out within weeks of opening entry.

The Trilby Tour came about in 2007 after golf aficionado and Savile Row designer William Hunt’s own love of the sport saw him come up with a unique competition whereby golfers could compete nationally in an extraordinary ‘Winner-Takes-All’ format.

The Trilby Tour was created to give players from all walks of life the chance of hitting the big time, played out in a televised national tournament. Amateurs from all over the world come together to compete in Pro conditions, under the pressures of an international televised event.

Players will battle it out in a series of regional finals taking place across England and Ireland culminating in the grand finals at the Buckinghamshire Golf Club.

The Trilby Tour is the only event which gives amateurs a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play like a Professional - with the top scoring amateurs go through to compete against top Professionals in the Pro Final. Where else would you get the chance to play in front of Sky TV cameras and be seen by hundreds of thousands of people on SKY Sports?

Last year's triumphant win saw 19year old Charlie Lidyard propelled from Amateur to Pro status in the space of a week. Winning the Amateur Championship then going on to play in the Pro Event against the likes of David Howell and Graham Storm, Lidyard called his experience 'absolutely brilliant' - read his interview here.

Clad in an exclusively designed golfwear range by William Hunt, competitors can be sure of lighting up the big screen in style in the only golf tournament of its kind. Have you got what it takes to play in the Trilby Tour?
