Trilby Tour Regional Championships 2010: The Oxfordshire Golf Club - 30 June 2010

Oxfordshire & West Midlands Championship

The Oxfordshire - 30 June 2010 ENTRY FULL

The Oxfordshire, set in the rolling hills of the Chilterns, is located approximately 45 minutes drive northwest of London on the outskirts of the historical university town of Oxford. Designed and built by the world-renowned architect Rees Jones no expense has been spared in creating this beautiful course. A tactical blend of bunkering, strategically placed lakes, wispy rough and wind make this a real challenge. Combine that with its natural beauty and you have all the course you'll ever need.

The Course

A relative rarity in Britain, the course has been designed in a modern American parkland style, and specifically as a potential venue for international golf tournaments. Since opening in 1993, The Oxfordshire has hosted the Anderson Consulting World Matchplay, the English Ladies Open, and from 1996 to 1999 it has been the venue for Benson & Hedges International Open and now plays host to the William Hunt Trilby Tour in 2010!

The latter boasts an enviable list of winners such as Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer and Darren Clarke – could your name be joining the list?

All the holes present their own individual challenges. The course's signature hole is the 17th, voted one of the top 500 holes in the world by Golf Magazine in January 2000.
